Christmas Dinner @ Jarom & Chelsea's

We got to spend Christmas dinner at my brother's house with his family. The kids love playing with their cousins. Here's Caden, Reese and Hudson playing some video games.

Reese and Finley had matching outfits for Christmas. They were SO CUTE!

I didn't get a family group picture of even a picture of our table setting, but I did get this one of the kids just before we sat down to eat. Christopher, Jarom, Chelsea and her mom in the background.

I really wish I had gotten a picture of the table that Chelsea did up. She had these cute place settings. You did a great job with the decor, it was very festive...LOVED it and Jarom did a fabulous job with the dinner!

It was cute watching Finley and Reese play together. Finley is Reese's only girlie cousin and she loooooves mothering Finley.

Mom and Grandpa Allred would appreciate this video. I was talking to Chelsea when I looked over and Reese was doing "Once I went to Grandpa's farm..." but at the "bumpity, bumpity" part with Finley on her lap. It was sooo cute. They were having a good time until Caden came up and popped them with a blow up cruise ship!

The kids had gotten Hudson and Finley gifts. Here Hudson is opening his submarine with Jonah sized whale.

And little Finley love opened up her new tea party set.

Aren't they cute!

Finley loves herself some bubbly. There was no holding back!

So This Was Christmas...

Christmas in our house just after Santa arrived. I wasn't sure if he would even make it as Caden decided he needed to stay up until 1 am.

I finally found him crashed out on the middle landing of the stairs.

A Christmas miracle happened Christmas morning as I woke up just before 8 am. Considering on a typical morning we are all awake by 6.30 am I got nervous that I had missed out on Christmas. However, all the kids were still asleep! Yippy for sleeping in on Christmas morning!

The kids must have been laying awake waiting for us to come get them b.c the second I got up to get dressed, they came bouncing in. The kids waiting up top of the landing just before going down.

Video of the kids making their way to their Christmas bounty. I unfortunately didn't get pictures or video of the kids opening up their Santa stocking or gifts. Reese was surprised with her Barbie Camper, Caden with his Race Track and Gavin with Nerf Guns. They got what they asked for, they must have been good this year.

Lots of new games for the kids add to their game closet repertoire.

Caden's very own remote controlled car. He got all sorts of "car" stuff for Christmas.

Reese loves her Littlest Pet Shops toys.

Reese is my only child that gets excited for clothes for Christmas. Love her. The boys just chuck theirs to the side and say, "i really hope i just get toys with the rest of my presents".

Reese must have been a really good girl this year as she got a new DS. Now she doesn't have to fight Gavin for use of his.

Oh.
My.
YES.
Caden was pretty excited that he finally got the ball that he has been eyeballin' all year at Target.

Halo Wars Legos? Gavin was out of his mind excited about getting these...

But not as pumped as he was about getting his Air Blaster's Tommy nerf gun. He's so dramatic. Wonder where he got that from...

Do you think Caden loved his new Woody "Cowboy" doll?

Reese also enjoyed her new Tinkerbell sleeping bag overnight set. She's slept in it every night since. Thanks Grandma and Pa Haslam.

Caden wasted no time in making a "rainbow crabby patty" with Plankton on top with his new Playdoh set. This kids loves his Playdoh.

Reese went to see the new "Princess and the Frog" Disney movie with her Daddy and just loved it. She now has the Princess and the Frog Princess Tiana doll set. Her collection is complete!

Goose was out of his mind excited with his new long board.
This will make his commute from bus to train for work a little faster and smoother. I have to admit, it's pretty sweet.

And Christmas morning wouldn't be complete with Daddy's famous Christmas waffles. Oh yeah!

Reese showing her daddy how she's a mommy with her new Baby Alive. Daddy is soooo grossed out.

Reese's Baby Alive "blow out". So funny.

Caden's new race track is pretty exciting. The best part about it, is he can put it together himself AND work it all himself.

'Twas the Night Before Christmas

Reese and Caden's rendition of "Jingle Bells". Somewhere in the song they got worried about Santa getting cold. That's all we can think about these days...COLD. Merry Christmas, y'all!

Gingerbread with Julia & Hyrum

Julia and her fiance Hyrum came over before they headed up to Washington for Christmas for a little Gingerbread party.

The kids had a BLAST with them. Candy galore and and aunt who spoils them with mounds of attention and love! What more could they ever want?!?!

Nice skills, Gavin!

Completed house!

Caden's gingerbread man that looks just like him. He's only wearing underwear which is the only thing Caden is wearing 90% of the time.

All Aboard

Caden used to have a ginormous collection of the Geo Trax Trains, however, we listed them on craigslist earlier this year to make room for new toys. Well, ever since then he keeps saying how he wants new trains because he "lost" his others. So sad. Probably shouldn't have gotten rid of them.

The other day while at IKEA I saw they had a mock Thomas the Train type set for only $14.99 and I just had to get it for Caden. I couldn't wait until Christmas either.

He's been playing with them all day, every day for hours. He's in heaven. He's also been taking my camera and having others take pictures of him playing with them or making "cool tracks".

Posing with his train tracks.

This video is great. Caden asked Gavin to take a video of his "super awesome train tracks".

School of La Madre

I haven't gotten around to putting Reese into a Pre-school here in Utah. Too much going on and getting settled. I have since decided that I will just keep her home until she starts Kindergarten in July. (We have year-around school here.)

She still really likes doing "homework" and misses that aspect of pre-school so I told her we would start "School of La Madre" and I'd give her some work to do. I just pull stuff off of HERE and she's loved it. We have it every morning from 9am until 11am. It's actually been a lot of fun for me too.

Caden of course is in on the fun as well. Again, clothes optional in this house, as you can tell. How many kids can say they go to school in their underwear? Isn't that supposed to be a nightmare? Not for my kids.

Some days we actually get dressed. Either way, we have a lot of fun. And having Reese home during the day keeps Caden super happy. They are playing together well, so BONUS!

Caden and his many faces.
