Gavin's First Day of School!

First day of school, first day of school (insert little Nemo voice)!!!! Gavin's first day of pre-school was today and boy was he excited! He chose to wear his "Ireland" shirt in honor of his uncle Tyler. Reese is hammin for the camera while Gavin is being bashful! .....
"Army" backpack ready to go! Mr. Cat is also in the background,..he came by to wish him a great first day of school this morning!

.....

Can we go already? Gavin didn't have any trouble saying good-bye to us when we went to drop him off at his classroom. While walking him up the steps to his classroom he found a baby lizard and he picked it up. He told me he wanted to throw it on his teacher, Mrs. Lewis! (Can you tell what child he is going to be in the classroom?!) So, we brought it to his teacher and Mrs. Lewis was so excited he came to share. She grabbed a bug cage and had Gavin put the lizard in to share with all his classmates. Everyone quickly gathered around and Gavin had instant popularity! I was thrilled to see Gavin so happy and making new friends. He really has a talent for making friends. As I was saying good-bye, he told me to "leave already, mom!" On my way back to the house, I didn't expect to get emotional over him growing up and leaving me for school, but I did. What can I say! I was just so happy for him...I didn't cry though! And that in itself was a miracle as I am full of raging pregnancy hormones!

After picking Gavin up from school, he told us that he wants to go to school "every time the sun comes up in the morning"! I think he enjoyed himself! He actually started to cry that he had to LEAVE school at the end of the day. Poor kid!

Reese was really sad that she couldn't stay. I wish she were old enough! For a private pre-school, their tuition is quite affordable. She missed Gavin at home too and kept asking when we could go and pick him up! So much for mommy and me time with her!

Gavin's 4th B-day Party!

We celebrated Gavin's birthday 2 weeks early so we didn't have to worry about a newborn! This year we asked him what he wanted to do for it,..surprise, surprise when he said "Chuck E Cheese" once again! So, for the second year in a row he and his friends enjoyed a Chuckier B-day! We took LOTS of video therefore, just two pics of Gavin and Reese for now. Christopher is working on the video editing,...so, stay tuned for the updated post with video!

testing this badness

GET MOTIVATED ALREADY!

We felt our family capacity to movtivate others was going to waste, so we designed the following posters in an effort to spread motivation to the world.

Headlines from the Forney Four this past week!

Well, I have been trying to get blogger to cooperate with me for the past few days and after literally spending HOURS trying to post with pictures, I digress,...

This isn't the first time I have had this problem,...anywho,..here are the headlines for this week....sorry no fun pics.

  • Christopher: Gets called upon by the Texas State Highway Patrol and accused of waving a "gun" while in his car. Cops storm his car with hands on pistols to search the car; only find his cell phone and a bunch of cheerios on the floor! If you would like the exclusive with details, just ask,...I know Christopher would LOVE to retell his "hands behind your back" adventure!
  • Sariah: Really getting frustrated and limited with blogger and looking for a new website to start up a blog,..one that will let you post pictures, ...anyone have a website they recommend? I'm willing to pay, if affordable. Also, extremely ready to evict our newest addition.
  • Gavin: Met with his new preschool teacher Mrs. Lewis. She is super fun and EXTREMELY energetic (even when she's just talking to adults,...what is it with these teachers,...where to they get it from)! Gavin is really excited to start the new school year on the 31st of August.
  • Reese: Reese is already feeling the middle child syndrome. By being in the shadow of all of Gavin's new activities and mommy busy getting ready for the baby and less active, she had taken up acting like a cat. She will crawl around saying "meow". If you aren't on the look out, she will come up and lick you! EW!! Poor girl!
  • 5th Jack-rabbit: At my last OB appt. we got to take a peak by ultrasound to make sure he is alright. Come to find out he is doing WELL!! The over-achiever that he is already proving to be, is measuring 41 weeks (3 weeks ahead) and is already 8 1/2 lbs!!! He truly is a Lloyd. They estimate another 9 lbs + baby upon delivery. Thank goodness it's by c-section again! (Yes, I am a nut and LOVE my sections! Gavin's vaginal left me a disaster down there!)

There you have it! Should blogger ever decide to function again, I will update with some fun pictures....otherwise,...my search is on for a new site. Stay tuned....

I've been "TAGGED"!

Ok, so I felt so honored to be "tagged" by my dear friend Cherie that I felt compelled to participate. This may be quite boring for most of you, but hey, I'm gonna have a little fun.
Christopher wanted in on the fun so he added his answers in Orange.

1. If you could build a house anywhere, where would it be?
Next door to our lifelong friends. Wherever they go, that's where I'd want to be. (Great idea, Cherie!)
Somewhere with four seasons tucked between a lake and a mountain range. So I could play all summer and winter outside.

2. What's your favorite article of clothing?
Right now, anything that fits over my 9 month preggo body,…otherwise comfy pjs while at home or 7 Jeans and a T-shirt while out and about.
I love my running shoes, and my sunglasses are freaking sweet! Does that count as clothing? My running socks are amazing as well, they're Asics.

3. Favorite physical feature of the opposite sex?
HANDS! I believe you can tell a lot about a man by his hands.
This is a hard one, it's a toss-up between legs, stomach, neck, eyes, lips, hands, nose, hair, feet, arms, waist, ankles, smile and back.

4. What's the last CD that you bought?
Weezer Make Believe However, that was a while ago,…there are several others out there that are calling my name.
I think I actually bought the one Sariah is talking about for her.

5. Where's your favorite place to be?
In my bed asleep! On my belly!
Somewhere quiet without kids.

6. Where is your least favorite place to be?
Alone at night, all alone, while Christopher is out of town,…get home already will you!!!!
On the side of the road waiting for the cop to decide whether to give me a ticket or a warning.

7. What's your favorite place to be massaged?
Feet. feet. feet. feet! (do you hear that Christopher?)
Anywhere! (do you hear that Sariah?)

8. Strong in mind or strong in body?
Oh how I wish it were both,…working on them!
I'm a weak moron, but I'm not going to let that get me down.

9. What time do you wake up in the morning?
Whenever Reese gets out of bed and starts banging on the door for me to get up! Usually around 7 or 8. I wish it were sooner, as I need to get back to working out BEFORE the kids are awake,…however, no energy at this time. Only baby bakin’.
I hate getting up in the morning, but I try to be up by 6:30

10. What is your favorite kitchen appliance?
Right now the microwave and crock pot (is that even an appliance?!?!)
Sariah!

11. What makes you really angry?
Idiots!
Unfriendly people.

12. If you could play any instrument, what would it be?
Piano,…there is always a need for a pianist.
Guitar! I can play piano and Saxophone but guitars rock! So do trumpets.

13. Favorite color?
This changes from year to year,…purple in all shades are in right now. But not in clothing color.
Blue. I have to force myself to choose things in other colors. For example, I wanted to have all my responses be in blue font, but then they would look like links to websites, so I chose Orange, Gavin's favorite color.

14. Which do you prefer...sports car or SUV?
I alreadyy own an SUV,…now can I have a sports car?
Sports Car! Classic sports cars are the coolest! Almost anything pre-70's. Espcially porsche!

15. Do you believe in an afterlife?
Definitely
I better after that comment I left about my favorite kitchen appliance.

16. Favorite children's book?
”The Gas We Pass” The Story of Farts by Shinta Cho The way in which we received this book is worthy of a post of its own! We wont go into detail here! Hilarious book! Very informative! I learn something new again and again.
I can't remember that far back, but I know the first novel I ever read was Endor's Game by Orson Scott Card. Very cool.

17. What is your favorite season?
Seasons? I don’t get much of those here in Texas. It’s just HOT for 9 months out of the year! But I do love Fall,…all 3 days of it here!
FALL! Not only is my birthday in the Fall, but so is Halloween! And in Texas, that's when the temperature drops back down into the 90's and you can go outside again.

18. What is your least favorite household chore?
BATHROOMS!!!! I do NOT do bathrooms! I can’t stand them so much I wont even puke in a toilet!
BATHROOMS!!!! Sariah makes me do them!

19. If you could have one super power, what would it be?
If I could just get things done with the snap of my fingers,..well that would just be swell!
The power to add unlimited money to my bank account whenever I want. That would be SUPER!

20. If you have a tattoo, what is it?
I’ve got a Ladybug on my left shoulder! Oh no, the secret is out! Not many people know about it. I still like it to this day,…however, I will encourage my children to never be so naive as I in getting one!
I don't have a tatoo. But I've written phone numbers on the back of my hand a couple times.

21. Can you juggle?
Absolutely not! I am not that talented!
Heck ya, baby!

22. The one person from your past that you wish you could go back and talk to?
That’s a good question,…I’d like to just be able to drop in on different time periods in history and watch their daily lives. That would be fascinating to me.
Pop, my mom's dad. He knew how to fix anything, and my kids know how to break everything.

23. What's your favorite day?
Fridays and mine and Christopher’s all nighter movie nights!
Friday nights when Sariah makes home-made pizza and we watch movies or TV series on DVD.

24. What's in the trunk of your car?
A double stroller, an old antique Chinese pinball machine, blanket, and plenty of crumbs and trash from the kids.
A box full of Imagine Learning folders, DVDs, and pens, and another box with some junk for fixing flat tires.

25. Which do you prefer, sushi or hamburger?
Hamburger. And I love Red Robin hamburgers! I can’t stand sushi!
I haven't had sushi yet, but I'm going to have to agree with Sariah, nothing beats a Red Robin hamburger! My favorite is the Blue Ribbon Burger, it has blue cheese crumbs in it and some other junk that makes it supreme booya.

And now I will "tag" Julia, Michelle, Melissa, and Marni,...if they wanna play!

Gavin and Reese Unplugged!

This is what I found the other day after getting off the phone with my mom.

.....

.....

.....

I'm glad they found a creative way to entertain themselves while I wasn't around! Now if we can find a way to channel that energy and creativity into something useful,...like cleaning their rooms!

P.S. If you haven't already noticed,..clothing is optional in our house most days during the summer!

Sariah's 2nd Annual 29th B-day Bash!

So, today I was able to experience what it feels like to be 30! It felt quite a bit like when I was 29. I decided to celebrate with those that I love the most. My family,..and FOOD!! First, it was dinner at one of my favorite restaurants for some seriously tasty steak! Non other than,.,..the TEXAS ROADHOUSE!! You can't find a better steak house. Hands down better than Outback!!
.....
Gavin loves this place for its peanuts that sit in a bucket on the table to eat and throw at his daddy!
.....
Reese likes the cinnamon butter and rolls. Mostly the butter,...straight out of the tube, hold the roll!
.....
Christopher's brothers Tyler and Phillip were there for the festivities. Tyler just came home from a 2 year LDS Mission in Ireland. Yes, ladies, he is available!!!

.....

Then, for dessert, Christopher surprised me with a mini cheesecake all for myself.....mmmmm,...Cheesecake Factory White-chocolate Raspberry Truffle! And yes, I will have no shame in eating it all myself!

.....

And, me the satisfied Birthday Girl!

Thank you for the memories boys and Reese! And thanks to the Uncles Lloyd for babysitting so Christopher and I could go and hang out with a bunch of teens to watch Talladega Nights: The Ricky Bobby Ballad.
