This past weekend, before I got ill, we spent the day at
Jordanelle State Park with my brother and his family. Summer decided to come that week and we were taking advantage before it changed its mind again.
There wasn't much sand (if any) really at this beach, but the kids LOVED being near the water again! The best part however was this:
Baby girl Finley looking so cute and fair! We met up with my bro's family and went boating!
Finley and mama Chelsea riding up in front.
My brother Jarom taking charge at the wheel.
These water babies were in 7th heaven!
Just look at Caden's smile! Although I'm not sure that was for the fruit leather OR the boat! Both big hits.
Check out Bear and Hudson's excitement while cruising. They are so cute!!
Caden and Mommy!

The best family pictures on the boat. We weren't enjoying ourselves of anything.

My brother and his family.
Finley girl!

The kids decided to take a lunch break up at the front of the boat. I love that in every picture Caden is truly smiling. I haven't seen him like this for a long time.
Finley chillin' and maxin' or is she about to pass out from that life jacket squeezing the life outta her?
Reese.
The many faces of the 'Hudster Budster'.

Boys!
Caden with his cousin who has the awesome toys.
Caden was so excited he would regularly break out in dance!
Reese however, should stick to ballet or tap cuz her freestyle boat dance was a little, um,
Liz Lemon or more like
Elaine.

Hudson doin' his own chillin' n maxin'.
Holla, Bear! Caden got excited every time he saw this boat go by (below) and would say, "take a picture! That's cool!"

So, Christopher dived in to test the water. Note: lake water in Utah is always from melted snow and the reservoirs/lakes always freeze in winter. "Cold" water in Texas, would be a hot tub in comparison. I wish my camera was ready when Christopher dove in but he cried so loud Finley girl started crying in panic over his shirking. I did manage to get the last bit.

Since Christopher was already wet and freezing, we put the kids out on the inner tube and went at a nice pace to keep them from falling into the water that would surely change the way they looked at a lake.
Look at the uncertainty before they really got going.
It wasn't long before they were hooked! Little water babies. Caden and Reese more so than Gavin.
Gavin got out so Hudson could have a spin.
Turns out Huddy loves it too! Who wouldn't?
Then Christopher got his groove back and jumped in with Caden so they could go really fast and he could make sure Caden didn't go flying out.
Finley even got her go around with Christopher. This pint sized 16 month old loved it more than Huddy!
Reese was a natural and didn't mind the water spraying her in the face.
Caden got worked and almost flew out but it didn't deter him in the least bit.
There did come a time that Christopher was numb and needed to warm in the sun. So Reese stayed up front and did her own chillin' n maxin' n tannin'.

Finley took control of the music on board. Our own spin mix master!
Then took to some cuddly time with mama.
This was Caden's idea of chillin'. I think he and I are the same when it comes to sun and water...LOVE.
Cute boy Gavin I think fell asleep up here for a minute. The sun sure was nice!
Hudson giving us all a little tongue.
Finley would just stare out the side of the boat wanting to 'touch' or be in it. Look at those wanting eyes.
All good things must come to an end. We headed back to the dock and Hudson was just too cute dipping and swinging his feet in the water as we unloaded the boat. THANK YOU SO MUCH, Jarom and Chelsea for sharing your boat with us! That day was truly the best day ever since we moved here. Thanks for being a big part of it!
