The Brothers Lloyd - Snowboarding 2011

Christopher's brothers Tyler and Phillip came up from Texas for a week of snowboarding with Christopher. They have been having such a fun time going to all the various snow resorts here in Utah.

Christopher's mother made him this beard thingy to wear to keep his face warm...at Christopher's request. I kind of like it. This is a shot BEFORE going snowboarding. At the end of the post check out the AFTER...

Hudson's Dragon Training Day

My nephew Hudson had his 4th birthday party this past weekend. His mom, Chelsea, did a fabulous job with his "How to Train Your Dragon" party. They started out making shields. (Lots of pictures so you can get them off the blog, Chels.)

I love this picture! I asked Hudson to say "cheese" and this is what I got! Love that kid!

Finley was sitting on my lap during the opening of the gifts. She had a "kitty light" (a laser pointer) that she was playing with Gavin. She was sooo cute! Christopher took this little video.

The kids with Hudson and the gift they got him. A marble race track like the one Bear got for Christmas. Such a fun toy. They played pin the tooth on toothless. And did an awesome obsticle course in training for dragon slaying.

The kids had pizza for lunch with "dragon juice" which was super yummy!

We got to sing Happy Birthday to the big birthday boy!

Lastly there was an Awards Ceremony where all the kids were given an award for their training. It was super cute. To this day Bear keeps asking for his award and if I remember that he won an award!

After the party there was lots of playing around with their souvenir swords. Christopher was good enough to humor them with losing his arms.

The kids then found a box and made it into a tank and had the others push them around in it.

The party was super fun and we are so happy that we were able to celebrate with Hudson on his special day. Happy Birthday, Buddy!

Booth Family Visit

Dave is a good mission friend of both Christopher and I. I knew his wife, Chelsey, as she cut my hair while at school at BYU. These two are some of our favorite people and they've just moved back to Utah. Dave finished law school in southern California and is now a district attorney here in SLC while I've just begged Chelsea to start cutting my hair again! YAY! I need it so bad.

We are so glad to have them around to hang with again! And Noah and Ruby are just so cute! While visiting with them this past Sunday we took this picture and Chelsey remarked it was the first they have had taken since Ruby was born! It think it looks great considering it was with my camera and it's just them.

Christopher taught Gavin how to use the xbox Live feature to talk and game with other players via the internet. It was fun watching him play. He's so cute!

Pretty New Ears

Last Friday Reese took another step into the big girl world. We took her to Claire's to get her ears pierced! It was kind of a spontaneous decision and we weren't sure she'd be responsible enough...but she has amazed us! She does all her own cleanings 3 times a day!

Here she is getting her ears marked. You can really tell she is quite nervous about getting her ears "stapled".

And her getting her ears pierced. The gun on her right ear got jammed and didn't completely get the earring back on. This for some reason frightened Reese and only once she heard about the gun jamming did she start to cry.

Happy girl! She can't wait until she can start wearing all sorts of earrings. She's such a girlie girl! She needs to wear these posts for 6 weeks first. After 6 weeks she can wear other earrings. This 6 weeks mark falls right around the time we will be going to Disneyland so she's excited to get a pair of earrings from Disney to replace these.

New Eyes

Reese recently had her eyes checked out. She was complaining about seeing "like 3D movies" while she was reading and at school. Turns out the girl is a little far-sighted and is needs glasses! We have ordered a few from Zenni Optical ($8 glasses, OH YEAH!) and should get them this week.

We'll have to make a post of Reese with her new glasses once they arrive. I just know she'll look super cute.
