Disney "UP" House

We heard about the "UP" house that was being built in Herriman, UT and being neighbors, we thought we'd go check it out. Read about it HERE.

They are still doing construction on the house and it wont be open for tours until the end of this month, but here are a few fun pictures.

I tried to get a picture that would show you inside the house above the mantel is the same picture from the movie UP. My phone camera just isn't gonna get it.

We'll go back sometime next week for a tour. BUT, we may not b.c you need tickets and I'm just not sure I want to fight those crazy Disney folk around here for it. Neat nonetheless.

7.11.11 SLURPIE TIME

Hope y'all got your FREE 7-Eleven slurpee on 7-11! We sure did...and we brought some friends along too! Nothing like a slurpee after a fun day at the pool.

Fountain Play

The same fountain that we ice skated on during the winter, the kids can wade in during the summer. On our way to the library the other day I just let the kids go for it!

Gabe and Gavin collected all the monies that were thrown in there by other people...yeah.

Hogle Zoo, Otra Vez

Gavin's good friend Gabe was back in town for a visit (he had moved away earlier this year, remember THIS post) so we asked if we could take him to the zoo with us. The kids had a good time, as usual.

The water was turned on (finally) on all the water squirters. The kids love the elephant. Don't seem to care too much about the new dinosaurs, at all. Nothing like a little elephant snot!

This trip we went to watch their World of Flight Bird Show. It was really cool having bird flying over head. Bear even had a barn owl skim the top of his head!

A male bald eagle and female eagle.

We were able to get up close and personal with a few of the birds once the show was over.

Now that's a giant owl...probably the type that mistook Gavin for food and almost ate him for dinner one night at the barn a few years ago.

The zoo was doing a promotion where the kids could dig in ice for toys "prizes". Really there was little ice...more like slush and just one prize, a toy camera.

It was pretty lame but the kids did enjoy their cameras for a few minutes!

That's Bear's face that lets me know he's about to blow...
Thank goodness Christopher was there with me that day so HE could deal with his tantrum.
And of course a visit to the spinning water ball just before we left. Hopefully next time we wont have to pull out any kids from trying to drink the water!

Cow Appreciation Day 2011

This year we participated in Cow Appreciation Day once again at Chick-fil-a and Christopher did not disappoint with the kids costumes. We went once for lunch...and then again for dinner! Should have made it a day and went for breakfast!

Gavin so chill on our way to FREE dinner!

Christopher and I made a cardboard sign to put around our neck each year and some spots with my black maxi dress and free dinner! Oh, yes!

Our little family (I can say little b.c in Utah 3 kids is a starter family) posing with our favorite cow!

Outside the restaurant there were games and a bounce house. More fun to be had!

Plinko for coupons, toys and candy prizes.

Bean bag tossin'.

Bouncin' fun!

And ya GOTTA have an ice cream cone before you leave...or a milkshake. YUM! Thank you Chick-fil-a!
