Hot Wheel Racin'

While Granna and Pa were here visiting during the month of January they got to go Christmas shopping with them. Bear is way into hot wheels (and dinosaurs n sharks) and fell in love with this track. So did Gavin for that matter.

Here's a cute video of the track in action. It's his first hot wheel track that required batteries...that's probably why it was so much fun. THANK YOU GRANNA.

Chuck E Cheese Sandy

If you've read our blog while we were in Texas, you would know we had an excellent CEC there and went often for a little family fun. We decided to check out the CEC here in Sandy, the closest one (of the 3 in the entire state).

We had a good time with little Hudson and his family, but really, the CEC left much to be desired. It was old, dark, dirty looking, not many games, food was NASTY and I just don't think we'll be going back anytime soon.

Happy Anniversary!

Today marks Christopher's and mine 9th Anniversary! Yay! Love my goosey love, Christopher.
Unfortunately, my MacBook died and I just don't have the patience for Christopher's PC. So, until I can resurrect my MacBook (working on it), I will not be visiting blogs, updating my own, and avoiding facebook. I will check my email once a day or every other day though. Basically, I'm getting a little help on one of my New Year's goals, less time spent on the computer. Quite easy when I don't have one! Hope to be back soon!

Soldiers Hollow Sledding

Texans don't have snowy winter clothes so while the in law's were here, we all headed out to the DI (goodwill, thrift type store) to find some outfits to go sledding.

Phillip found this grotesque snow suit that was waaaay too tight. But hey, we were about function over fashion with the cold. Amen. And just check out those awesome Napoleon Dynamite moon boots!! Wait until you see mine...

This is as far as he could bend down. It was pretty funny. His fiance, Nancy, said she wouldn't be seen in public with that one so he ended up putting on some of my black yoga pants on top of it!

We went up to Soldiers Hollow Resort (which was an Olympic venue for the cross-county skiing) for a little sledding. Here's Crisit taking in the cold snow fun!

Nancy, unsure of all the cold and that you could actually have fun in it!

Everyone with their tube hooked up and riding the lift up to the top of the sledding hills. Cristi.

Christopher.

Reese.

Caden.

Gavin.

Scott with his awesome DI find, Camo jacket.

Phillip.

Cute little tiny Nancy.

Most of the time we went down by ourselves (even little Caden and the kids) however, the most fun was going down tied together.

Once down the hill, Christopher had the extreme pleasure of pulling the kids back to the lift.

Family shot. Just check out my white pom pom DI boots! I was sooo stylin'. Everyone on the slop was envious, I know this. We had a blast and can't wait to go again as a family!

Temple Square w/ the Lloyd's

Christopher's parents came up for a visit with Phillip and his fiance Nancy. They braved the coooold (especially Nancy as of 2 weeks ago she had never been in weather below 70 degrees in her LIFE) for a little sight seeing, snow playing and wedding dress shopping. Waiting for the train here.

We went down town SLC and took in Temple Square. The kids here checking out the acoustic demonstration in the tabernacle.

While taking a tour of the conference center, Caden took a liking to Nancy and started clinging to her calling her his girlfriend. Phillip wasn't to happy with a 3 year old making the move on his woman. It was really cute though.

Good thing Granna had her iphone with her b.c Gavin played games on it just about the entire day!

Nancy with little woman snatcher, Caden.

Reese and Daddy taking in the sights of downtown.

It was coooooold that evening. So bitter cold. I just loath being cold and my winter coat was at the cleaners. Christopher was nice enough to lend me his jacket as we ran back to the train and then to our car! Group shot!

Gavin looking like a pioneer boy as he tried to stay warm on our way back.

Phillip only had one glove and his ears were frozen so he got creative. It worked, at least for that one ear!

Caden and Nancy in the city.

The Bride to Be - Dress

I went with my sister (the bride to be) looking for a wedding dress the other weekend. It was a lot of fun!
I liked this one, b.c in my opinion it looked very southern bell-esque. Loved it, however, it was so not my sister.

She tried on a variety of dresses hoping to find "the one".

After many dresses but only a couple of hours, we found it.

I didn't take the greatest pictures, but it looks ravishing on her! She will make a beautiful bride come March. I can't wait.
