Catch Up Time!!

So, yeah....as you might have noticed...I'm a little behind on my blog. Life has gotten a lot more crazy and busy as the kids have gotten older and I have become more involved with the school, community and my job. The blog has taken a back seat and I have to admit, it has been nice putting the camera away and just living in the moment (and not behind the camera).

However, I have also missed out on reflecting on the memories with pictures and through our family blog books! So, I am going to be doing a bit of catching up and trying to be a bit better on posting. It may not be as descriptive as I want to be, but you KNOW there will be pictures. And don't pictures say a thousand words?

Ingenuity

Bear watches his daddy lift weights and today Bear decided on his own to make his own set. Check it out!

He was totally doing reps! It was both hilarious and so cute at the same time.
Leg reps too! lol

Then he added MORE weight!
TWENTY POUNDS later he was pumping some serious iron with a STICK. You go boy!!

Bear lifting standing.

Bear lifting laying.

Bear's belly lifting b.c it's hilarious!

Pier 49 Pizza Time

Last night for FHE we did a little Pier 49 Pizza fun. Man I love their pizza but their cheesy bread sticks are seriously to die for. Nothing beats 'em!
Gavin brought a friend and they had their own booth.

Can we get a normal picture?

Lots of leftovers to bring home...and how cute is my baby? Man I love him!

I Heart this Girl

Such a cutie!

Halloween Spider

While on a family walk around the lake in our neighborhood we came across this spider. Pretty creepy! We call it our Halloween spider! Anyone know what kind of spider it is?

Upside Down

Last Saturday at Reese's game she was playing or in her words "battling" a team with the same color jerseys so she was told to put on this vest. I noticed her struggling to put it on and once she was done it looking a little funny. Yeah, she put it on inside out AND upside down!! lol Yep, that's Reese!

Afton Love

I love it when I get a chance to visit this little girl!

Tetherball Memories

While at Reese's soccer practice, Gavin found a tetherball still attached outside. Boy did that bring back memories of when I would play at school. Also all the found memories I have of kicking my dad's butt *ahem* while at Grandma Allred's...

Chick Fil A Friends

Yeah, we spend a lot of time here....

Fall Foilage

Christopher indulged me this past weekend in a car ride up the Alpine Loop. It was SO BEAUTIFUL!

My favorite pic!

We ended up in Park City so we did a little shopping at the Outlet's there. OH BOY! Love that place! The kids love it too b.c they get to play!

The boys have this thing where they stretch out their shirts (AH, I HATE IT) and call themselves "midgi's". This was Bear walking around as a Midgi Tank.

This is what a Midgi Tank does.

She'll Bite Your Head OFF

These little Preying Mantis are all over the place around here! I thought this picture was classic as Christopher is holding the bug and in the background Chewbacca on Christopher's shirt wants to take a bite.

Gavin's Team WINS!!

Gavin's poor team hasn't won a game yet this season. However, that all changed last weekend. The first half of the game Gavin was rockin' it. He was so cute....whenever the ball would come his way he's scream "NEVER" as he kicked the ball. It was so funny. I wish I had it all on video!

The second half of the game, as the score was 10-0, coach put Gavin at goalie. Needless to say, he didn't see much action...

Christopher also ended up refereeing the second half of the game are really liking it. He's now reffing for half of all Gavin's games he can attend.

Diversity Means...

For this year's PTA Reflections contest the theme was Diversity Means... Reese and Gavin both enter each year as part of the requirements for their Dolphin Award that they want earned at the end of each year. Reese decided that she wanted to do photography. I gave her the camera and then she went to take some pictures with her friend. This is what she came back with and what we decided to enter.

This last picture is what we used. It's not awesome, but hey, she's in 1st grade and the picture is all her. She titled it "Friendship". She wrote about how diversity means (to her) that all people come from different places and backgrounds yet they still find common interests to be friends. Friends show respect for each other. Something along those lines. Being the great mom that I am, I didn't take a picture or write down her entry. Or of Gavins...yeah, I rock.
