Friends and People (Part II)

I had a few pictures taken of Gavin with a few of his friends (most of his good friends were not there or we didn't think to take a picture).
Gavin, Neiman, and Mitchell

Gavin with his teacher, Mrs. Wiley...cleavage and all! Whoa! She's so great! I really liked her! I want Reese to have her.

Gavin with Mrs. Lane, Mrs. Wiley's classroom aide. She too was excellent and Gavin loved her just as much as Mrs. Wiley!

******

Lastly, here's a picture of Reese as she was patiently waiting in a chapel pew for Gavin's performance to begin! She's quite excited to be a part of MDS in the fall! I can't believe it's already my baby girls turn to start schooling!!

And I had to put this shot of my girl Marni and I in front of the Summer Bible School beach scene! After all, she's on the school board for this coming year! I soooo have an "in" now, right?!?!

Love ya girlfriend...and thanks for the "midnight rescue" the other night! I'm gonna call you........lol! We are soooo sexy!

End of the Year Performance (PartI)

I'm getting behind in playing catch up! Not fun! I hope to catch us up through Memorial Weekend tonight and then stay on top of posting once again! HA! Good luck with that, right?!?

Anyway, Gavin had his end of the school year performance last week and this is part one of a two part post. First, we have the pre-performance pictures!

We took lots of pictures of Gavin wearing his tie b.c we knew it wouldn't last. He wont even wear a tie to church b.c "the choker button" (top button) has to be buttoned to wear one!

We really had to motivate Gavin into going this year. He was "so sick of singing all the time. I'm done with singing". He's never been one to sing for anything.

Loves to make silly faces for me to take pictures of! Classic Gavin! He's still super cute to me!

Next we were off to MDS for his performance and "graduation". Notice the choker button is now undone and his tie is clipped on the second button! HA! That's our goofy goober!

Now, if you can remember any of Gavin's previous performances, he's a natural at getting lots of attention while singing. Not only does can he not keep from moving constantly, he is very expressive! Remember the Michael Jackson incident of '07? Truly an indication of things to come! The chapel is very poorly lit, and therefore the video is pretty dark but you can still make out Gavin's enthusiasm.

This video (above) is my all time favorite for dance moves!!

After the short performance (thank you very much!) it was time for Gavin to receive this Pre-K completion certificate!

We love this picture b.c Gavin (above) b.c it reminds me of all the Japan Anime cartoon characters faces!

Gavin ready to go home! He made it, intact, minus the choker button and we have no idea where the tie is!! Congratulations, Gavin! Bring on summer break!!

Peg-legged Caden

I've had this sitting in my "queue" to post sometime. I better do it now, as he is starting to look young in these pictures! They grow up so fast!

So, here's the story. Christopher had helped put Caden's clothes on earlier. We were curious as to why Caden was being quite clumsy and and frustrated when trying to walk. Upon further investigation, this is what we found!

Poor kid! It was sure fun watching him though! He got a good laugh in as well once he saw us laughing at what had happened! Hilarious!

End of School Year Dance

Yesterday the 22nd was the end of the school year for Gavin! Bring on Summer Vacation! (And now bring on mom's headaches keeping all 3 kids occupied all summer long!)

On Gavin's last day of school the parents were invited to his class to collect his "memory book" (yearbook) and box full of art work. When I walked into his room, I caught them doing this dance and just HAD to get some video of it quickly before it ended!

Field Day Spring 2008

It's that time of the year again for the MDS Field Day! Gavin had a lot of fun this year! Be sure to check out last years video to see the changes in the kids! Caden was just a baby blob in a stroller and this year he's riding around in a motorized car!! Reese had dance class, so she missed out this time around. No worries. She starts school here this fall! Crazy!!

Lastly, I didn't get a chance to making an edited video of the Field Day experience this year, but I do have these two unedited videos! I think I may have even posted the one where Gavin takes a fall around a corner! Hilarious! Why do I find amusement in my children's falls?!!?

Summer Fun Equation

Been wondering what we have been up to? Give you a hint, plastic pool + backyard slide + water = what we do everyday! This is how we have been spending our days....

While I don't condone this type of "picnic", it sure is fun once in a while! The kids get to play with the water hose all afternoon and I get to work on my Texas tan! The sum of all fun in this house!

Backyard Makeover Part I

The patio makeover is currently on hold. Our friend, who is a contractor of all sorts, had planned on helping us get the job done, but he has been swamped with work. SO, we are going another route to get the job done with summer already here. In the meantime, we went ahead and got the kids a backyard play set.

After unloading the pile of wood that came in two boxes and lifted to the top of our car via a fork lift...Christopher began construction.

Christopher loves putting things together, so this project didn't take long at all.
In no time, Reese had her friends over for play time.
And picnic time is always fun! Mom loves not having to clean up!!
The area behind them will be a sand box, need to get that done now. We plan on getting our backyard put to good use this year. We are skipping all the summer camps and such and staying at home most of the summer. Of course there will still be park trips, trips to the zoo and museums, but for the most part, we don't want to be driving all over Dallas this summer. I mean, when we bought my car a few years ago I spent 28 bucks filling it up, now I pay 60! 'Nough said!!

Never Say Never

Alright, all this talk of my cavity free mouth for the past 32 years has come back to bite me...BIG TIME!! I went to the dentist for a routine cleaning, and came home with 3, yes, THREE cavities filled! Granted they were just the beginning of ones and didn't take long or much to fix...still, it was too much for me to take!

One side of my top lip and the opposite side of the bottom were numb. Made for some interesting talking and great face making!

I have a physically small (but generally a big mouth, right!?!?) and narrow mouth and bite. When I see the dentist they always use the child size film bites, etc. They had to do the same to fill my cavities. The dentist had to actually put a stopped in my mouth and then push down my jaw to get all the way back in my mouth to fill a cavity. Yeah, that didn't do numbers on my fear of being suffocated..claustrophobia. I about DIED!! Seriously, they had to keep stopping b.c my blood pressure kept rising and I was hyperventilating. I now, hate the dentist and don't blame my kids (Gavin) for wanted to avoid an appointment with them!! I guess child baring hormones finally caught up with me, seeing that I have better dental hygiene now then before! Oh, and the fact that my diet Pepsi lime addiction probably is eating away at my enamel...

***There are 4 new posts below, and at least that many sitting in my box waiting to be finished. So, lots of updating to be seen shortly. It's a long process that could be avoided posting more frequently, I know. So stay tuned.***
