Gavin's team this year was so awesome. They reminded me so much of the Sand Lot gang! Complete with their very own "Benny Rodriguez". They were a bunch of kids for the neighborhood who got together and made a team. No real uniforms, no real anything but pure fun! It was a great positive introduction to baseball for Gavin.
My handsome ball player during their "championship game." Gavin's coach told the boys their last game was the "championship game" and got the boys (and girl) all worked up. They took it seriously and they really delivered that game.
After the game the team got their trophy and player trading cards. Coach Swiss is a professional photographer by profession and chose to do the kids pictures verses having the Rec Center guy do it. Coach then opted to make a deck of trading cards of the team for each player. Talk about AWESOME!
