Cold n Colder

So, we like to go out for ice cream when it's below freezing outside. Can't let the 7 months of freezing cold keep us away from icy, creamy goodness!

Welcome Baby Morgan Riley

Morgan Riley was born on October 24, 2010 at 10:13am! She weighed 8lbs 7oz and was 22.8 inches long...yes, she is a LONG and lean cutie pie! She was born to my sister Alyssia (Poochie as I call her) and her husband Ryan in Yokosuka, Japan!

She is sooo cute and I can't wait to meet her! Reese is excited to have another girl cousin finally. This year is her lucky year as she's getting another (Belen, Christopher's brothers wife) sometime in December. YAY!!
Great job, Pooch and Ryan! She's an absolute dream! And way to make me jealous with your no stretch marks, no tearing and pre-pregnancy weight days after birthing!!

**HALLOWEEN**

I'm just a little behind b.c here I am posting about Halloween. Oh, well. I've been having fun neglecting the blog and just living life. However, as my kids have been going through our blog books here at the house, I've realized that we all are missing out on the memories here in Utah. So, I'm gonna try to be more diligent.

Halloween in Utah happened on Saturday the 30th, not Sunday the 31st. Because Utah is more righteous (Zion, remember) and observes the Sabbath Day. Seriously, the whole state moves holidays around (except Christmas). The kids had fun carving pumpkins this year.

It was fun b.c we got dirt cheap pumpkins around here with all the farms. It was great.

The Finster and Huddy came over from some Halloween lovin just before they headed over to their grandma's for some trick or treating. So cute!

Reese and her girlie cousin Finley sitting pretty in their Halloween dresses and ruffle pants I made them.

The after pumpkin carving mess. Yum. I cooked the pumpkin seeds for the first time this year and I ended up the only one eating all of them. Everyone else hated them.

The kids ready to head out for trick or treating. Caden was Superman this year, Reese the Queen of Hearts and Gavin an Army soldier (for like the 4th year).

Of course it started raining like minutes before it was time to head out. So off they went with umbrella's getting wet and COLD in the 40 degree weather. UGH!

I got to stay home and pass out candy to the neighborhood kids and take some craptastic pics of the pumpkins on our porch. Christopher did a good job with the candles b.c they never went out and it rained all night.

School Halloween Parties - DE

Bear and I went to the kids Halloween Parade at school last Friday. This was particularly cool b.c at their schools in Texas costumes were not allowed. Here was Reese with her bff Cambree.

Gavin, an Army solider once again. So cute!

At Reese's school party I ended up at the reading corner for the reading station so I wasn't able to walk around and take pictures. However, it was fun and Reese was super cute.

Gavin's party I had a little more freedom to get some pictures while operating the spider hat station.

Edible witch heads. YUM!

Bingo.

Class photo spooky faces and nice smiley faces.

Witches Retreat

I had a girlie Halloween party - The 2nd annual Witches Retreat - and witch attire is required. I had planned on just putting a dinky little hat on but when Christopher saw all the ladies at the ward Halloween party wearing sweet witch hats, he wanted knew it was project time!

He took a day off of work (I know, huh, he's awesome) and spent all day with me (the kids spent 7 hours playing video games, I know, huh, I'm an awesome mom like that). We went to Hobby Lobby and the Fabric Center and got to work making a hat from scratch AND a witches cloak!

Christopher doesn't know how to take pictures, so I don't have one with me in my cloak.

I LOVE MY HAT! I've since decided that every year I will make a new hat with Christopher (b.c we had a lot of fun together) and I'm gonna take this tradition (and party) to Texas with me when we move back.
