Date Night - We ROCK...climb

We had a great date night out with our friends Jason and Lara White. We went to a fabulous Indian restaurant India Palace in Dallas and then decided to ROCK!

We went to Dallas Rocks in Dallas. A little climbing and bouldering. Jason is pretty good, and Christopher and I are novice. I stuck with the easy 5.6 vertical climbs.

Jason and Christopher got a little more challenged.

Lara did talk me into this wall that comes out a little before going back in. She made it looks so easy.

I made it to the top!! YAY!

The best part of reaching the top of that climb was going down the slide at the end. Lara wasn't kidding when she told me you have to go slow! I nearly killed myself!

Christopher did the same wall but a more difficult climb. I'm so sad that I didn't get a video of his slide down! It was HILARIOUS! He really did almost kill himself! We forgot to warn him to take it slow. oops.

I made Christopher show me how tough he was and had him climb this rope after our fingers and forearms were beat from climbing! He's awesome! So buff!

Then he went and did an inverted bolder climb! It was a great night and we had a lot of fun and laughs. A night to remember, thanks for the memories Jason and Lara.

Reese's MDS Halloween Party 09

Reese had her Halloween Pre-K party. It was fun and Bear and I got to be a part of it.

She made her own bag in class to stash all her candy loot from the carnival like party.

Bear played with the cars the majority of our time there. He wasn't as interested in the candy or games as the cars.

Hold your nose like this

TMI for some. Potty talk.
We currently are having the kids use our bathroom while we are using theirs as a painting depot while we paint our house. I walked in on Bear while he was doing his business. I looked over and he was holding his nose. Before I could ask, he informed me, "Mommy, you have to hold your nose like this. My poopies make me have to hold my nose like this." I have since noticed that he does this every time. He's so funny.

He's also informed me the other day, that his "poop makes chocolate milk when I flush the potty." YUCK! Maybe a little less fiber in your diet, Bear?

Reese is CROWNED

Reese the morning of her big day at the dentist. She had NO IDEA what she was in for.

Daddy took her that morning.

Reese did some wandering around the office while she was waiting for her sedative to start working.

Starting to get sleepy, this is good.

Reese got hold of the camera and took this picture of Christopher.

By the looks of this picture, I'd say she was ready! lol.

Big chair.

Ah, the pink nose of Nitric Oxide bliss.

She was out!

This video shows her getting very, very sleepy, and then out.

The dentist doing her thing.

It was really fun trying to get her to wake up. She was GONE!

I think she was still asleep, but with her eyes open on the ride home.

Christopher got a video of her thoughts on what she had just experienced.

Dental Check Up Time

I dread dentist check ups for the kids. Mostly b.c of Gavin's dental drama over the years. This was his first check up since his major (money) mouth makeover.

Reese was excited b.c it was her birthday the day we went.

She was the only one to get x-rays.

Gavin helping Reese out as the bad news was delivered. Reese was about to be crowed herself! Within 6 months this girl went from no cavities, to needing a CROWN! WTHeck!

Caden had to be strapped down for check up. He thought it was hilarious how rebellious he could be.

All loved diggin' around the treasure box for their prizes.

Bear only wore one shoe for the whole appointment. He refused to put on the other shoe and remained stubborn the entire trip. That little....

The good news
is that this trip was Gavin's FIRST withOUT a cavity! His new teeth really do work!!! Caden's in the clear too, at least for now!
