The kids baskets were all stuff they could do in the car while we traveled to California. We had Easter the week before as we would be gone on the actual day.
I got a new laptop cover. Perfect for our trip and trips to the parks this summer.
Christopher got our guide book to Disney bound and ready for his studying. That book was awesome!! We ended up being able to do everything we wanted and never waited in a line longer than 20 minutes!
Hunting for eggs.
DAY 2
Dying of eggs!
DAY 3
We made Easter bird nests from donuts, peeps and various candies.
I love how proud he looks of his creation in this picture.
Christopher went down to Orem to do a triathlon with our friend Dave. It was backwards in that they started with running, then biking and finally swimming. Reverse.
The boys were in heaven playing in the trees while the race was on its way.
And they are off!
Can you see all 3 kids?
Almost done with the run...
And now they are ready for the bike ride...
By this time the kids were done with the trees and resorted to Chick-fil-a breakfast and hiding under hoodies to play with their DS's.
This guy was nuts...and he sure was walking funny after this ride...
Our boys on the bike ride just about ready to dismount for the swimming...
Christopher and Dave somewhere in there. We couldn't tell where.
FINISHED!!
Great job boys! Now for the Daybreak Triathlon in June!
We finally got to meet our little niece Daphne a few weeks ago! Belen (our sister in law) was here visiting family and we were able to spend a day with them. We went down to BYU campus and did the art museum and book store shopping. Of course we went to Brick Oven for dinner! It was a lot of fun and I was able to meet my sister in law Belen for the first. I really like her.
Sunday after church they came over for dinner and we got to love on Daphne! She is such a GOOD baby girl!
Reese couldn't get enough of her one and only girlie cousin (on the Lloyd side).
Christopher's brother Bradley with his wife Belen and daughter Daphne.
You might not be able to see but if you look closely you will see that Reese put a handcuff on Belen. She thought that was funny.
We are so glad that we were able to meet them and can't wait to see them again in Texas!
Our good friends recently blessed their baby, Ruby, (which was our girl name if we ever had another girl after Reese) and we were able to share in the celebration.
Her mother, Chelsey, made her dress. It was stunning! I wish I had gotten a better picture of all of its glory. 100% Pure Dupioni silk. Classy little lady.
We had a really great time visiting and sharing in the celebration. Thanks for the invite Booths!
We discovered a new family pizza joint that has become favorite. Sweet Home Chicago. Just look at what the place does to our family! Deliriously delicious!
A couple weekends ago the weather got really nice (60's..hey, that's become my new awesome!) and we heard it. The sweet sound of summer...the one that usually makes it debut in February in Texas...
The Ice Cream Truck! We heard him and drove around a couple blocks to find him, pulled over and partook of some summer time bliss. Then of course it snowed for a week straight! Summer, where art thou? I'll take Spring for that matter. SUN!
Sunnier days are starting to come out from time to time and Reese and Bear are back into the Skid Mark Madness of last year. They love to compete for who has the longest and best looking bike skid mark. Then grab my camera and take pictures of the mark, themselves, and complete strangers.
